Where Wellness Meets the Skyline

Join us as we explore Mount Umunhum, the “Resting Place of the Hummingbird,” where these tiny birds have long inspired wonder. Along the way we'll explore this region's serpentine grasslands, chaparral, oak woodland forests, and riparian corridors as we learn about what makes Mount Umunhum so special, while building community together.

Meeting Spot & Directions

  • Parking Location: Bald Mountain Parking Lot (Click Here for the Google Maps Link)
  • Directions:
    • From Camden Avenue, turn on to Hicks Road. Follow Hicks Road up the mountain, passing the the Guadalupe Reservoir.
    • Soon, you will come to a stop sign intersection, where you'll make a right turn onto Mt Umunhum Road.
    • Follow Mt Umunhum Road until you reach the Bald Mountain Parking Lot, which will be on the left turn off the road. You'll see the bathrooms where you turn in to the parking lot.
  • Parking: Free but parking is limited to 11 vehicles. Carpooling is highly encouraged.
  • Bathrooms: Yes, there are bathrooms near this parking lot.
