Trails, Tales, and a Community BBQ!
Nature has a unique way of speaking to us, no matter our age or pace. Join Saved by Nature for an inclusive, multi-generational day of exploration designed to connect your family to the rich heritage of the redwood forest. Whether you are navigating the gentle paths with a stroller, watching a child take their first curious steps on a nature walk (ages 4–6), or challenging yourself on a full adult hike, you are stepping into a vibrant ecosystem that thrives on connection.
Beyond the trails, the forest comes alive with the rhythm of community:
Discovering the Wild: Meet the incredible "Educational Ambassadors" of the Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center (WERC) during a captivating live animal and raptor presentation. Look into the eyes of these native predators and discover our shared role in keeping local wildlife wild and free.
Cultivating Creativity: Express your connection to the Earth through hands-on art and let the forest backdrop blend with live, soulful music.
Savoring Community: Wrap up the day by sharing stories over a delicious community barbecue—because protecting nature is a journey best shared together.
