Hike through the solar system, explore space rocks, and view deep space with the SJAA.

Embark on a celestial journey from the trails of Russian Ridge to the deep reaches of space! Join Saved by Nature, the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (Midpen), and the San Jose Astronomical Association (SJAA) for an unforgettable evening under the stars. From a sunset trek to parking lot stargazing, we have an incredible night lined up for the community. Read on to see the full event details!

Beyond the Trails, the Night Comes Alive with the Rhythm of Community:
  • Savoring Community: Once we return from the trail, we will wait for the stars to arrive while sharing stories and enjoying a community meal under the open sky.
  • Targeting the Stars: Look deep into the universe! The SJAA will have high-powered electronic telescopes set up in the parking lot to give everyone a first-hand view of distant galaxies and cosmic wonders.
