Looking beyond the concrete walls of the federal prison to explore the islandโs Indigenous history.
Join us for an eye-opening journey across the bay to uncover a side of Alcatraz Island that history books often leave behind. Hosted in partnership with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and guided by their community engagement team, this boat trip and interactive tour moves past the fortress mythology to focus on the island as a site of profound human connection, cultural reclamation, and social change.
