Bay to Bay Hike - – Chaparral
Join us in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains in South Santa Clara County for our monthly exploration of biomes between San Francisco and Monterey Bay. This preserve is known for its unique oak woodland and chaparral habitat that provides a food web for acorn woodpecker, wild turkey, deer, mountain lions, grey fox, tarantula and more. This is part of an annual series of 12 hikes where we visit a different biome each month.
