History of Henry Miller Hike
Join Saved By Nature on our Senior Wellness Hike among the redwood forest. Along the way, we'll discuss the historical significance of the area, purchased by Henry Miller in 1875 for a summer retreat. We'll take in the fresh air as we hike underneath magnificent Redwood trees, build community, stay active, and learn about the many important species that call the forest home!

🥪 What We Provide
- Lunch: Sandwiches, chips, and water. A vegetarian/veggie option is available.
- Snacks: We provide power bars, and we will also have extra snacks on hand in case you forget yours.
- Water: We provide water jugs for refilling your reusable water bottle.
⚙️ Items Available to Borrow
We have a limited supply of the following items available for you to borrow:
- Hiking Pole(s): We have extra poles to borrow. We also have new hiking poles for sale at $25.
- Day Pack: Day packs are available to borrow, but please note they do not include a hydration bladder/water bag.
👟 Items to Bring
Please ensure you bring the following personal gear:
- Footwear: Hiking boots or sturdy shoes with ankle protection.
- Hydration: A reusable 32 oz water bottle.
- Clothing: Comfortable clothing (check the weather before leaving), and Layers including a long-sleeve base layer, a sweater, a jacket, and a beanie.
- Sun Protection: A hat, sunscreen, gloves, and/or a face shroud.
- Comfort: A portable lightweight chair to sit during lunch.
- Optional Item: A camera.
